I'm a technology consultant, marketing strategist, business coach, and in the past a wedding vendor. In these podcast episodes, I'm providing impactful, easy to implement solutions and strategies for efficient workflow and business growth. Now, let's dive in to this episode. 

You've heard me mention it time and time again, how important how vital video is in regards to your social media. It it is there's no way around it. And I'm going to start off this episode. If you know me, I like numbers, I'm going to start off with some numbers. So currently, there was a 90% plus return on investment with video content. Wow. So my biggest thing is when I talk about tips, strategies plans executing I always think about the time energy and effort involved in that is why I like statistics. This is important, it is worth your time, energy and effort to utilize video with your social media marketing. It is important and vital to use video in your social media content. So let's just talk about a couple of numbers here are a couple statistics. So real quick, before I do that I am going to share with you. So let's talk about some statistics. And there's so many to be honest with you, but I just wanted to pick out the few that stuck out to me. So these statistics are from Sprout Social from January of 2022. And this one who video is the most under utilized format across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Companies comprising 14% of 11% and 5% of each network's content. What that to me those numbers. Wow. That means for you as a wedding professional, someone in the event space or actually any business what that number means is you can get a leg up on the competition, you can really work on brand awareness staying top of mind, this means that's why that number about the return on the investment that I said in the very beginning of this episode, 90 plus percent return on investment with video content. This is why and now's the time to start using it not waiting, not not wishing you had now's the time. Here's your next statistic. 93% of companies have acquired new customers via social media video 93% Let me break that down. 9.3 out of 10

that's the percentage so Many times you'll say, but I don't want to be on camera. Or I don't really know anything about video. And I'm not really sure why I changed my voice there. But guess what? You are your business. Okay, first and foremost. But I have helped people who said they'd never be on camera, there's no way they would be in a video for their business on social media. Number one, I helped them start utilizing video. And they weren't on camera in the beginning. And number two, when you start getting results, you start to realize, well, I am my business. I am who people are going to talk to, when they come to me about products services. They're going to talk to me, there is a way to get around whatever mindset issue is stopping you from wanting to be on video. But to get started with video content on your social media. I'm not even saying you have to be in the video. Do I recommend it? Well, hell yeah, I do. But I didn't say it was a requirement. So keep an open mind in this episode. So a couple other quick ones that I will share is half of social media users prefer video over other types of content. Now I'm going to tell you, I believe this number is drastically went up. But 50% So five out of 10 users on social media prefer video over other types of content. 58% of viewers will watch the entire t have a business video. If it's less than 60 seconds long. That is why I like statistics. Like these numbers. They don't lie. And these are from January. So let me throw another statistic out there. The vast majority 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound. Okay. So right there, what does that mean? Your videos need to have captions. Facebook even has a feature where you can auto generate captions. Now we can go on and on and on about these statistics. We can talk about the difference versus recorded video versus going live. But what I really want to bring awareness to is how vital video is for your business. On social media, it really comes back around to brand awareness, staying top of mind, all those things that we want out of the internet and social media filters right into you can get the best results when video is used. And I'm here to tell you authentic video content is converting much higher, much higher than produced videos. How many people out there watch television. There was just something and I wish I knew the exact numbers. But there was just something about the number of commercials that are being filmed recorded with smartphones. There's a big thing going back and forth between Apple and Samsung, or Apple and Android. Let me rephrase that Apple and Android. TV commercials are being filmed with smartphones. Now, what does that sentence that I said in the beginning authentic video content is converting much higher than produced videos. What does that really mean for you? Well, that levels the playing field for small businesses. That means you don't have to have a film crew come out every month, once a quarter, and with lighting and sound and this, that and the other and do these highly produced videos to get results on social media. That's what that means. Now, this plays right into why I'm doing this workshop because there are things that you need to be aware of when doing your own videos. And I'm going to cover that in the workshop. And yes, I'm going to talk about lighting and I'm going to talk about audio because it is important.

But it's not a deal breaker, that you have high end equipment. As a matter of fact, the stuff I'm going to talk about in the workshop is All very affordable equipment, I'm even going to give you a list. Some of the items on the list are $20. It is affordable for you to do video content for your business or organization. And as I said in the beginning, you don't have to be in front of the camera to start out. I can give, I can give examples, and examples and examples. But I think that says enough to say, you don't have to be the one in front of the camera. And I hope that just listening to this content of the this episode and the statistics that I've shared, will make you want to take the step to take part in the workshop. The best part about it is you don't have to join live, you can catch the replay. The biggest thing for people is to realize you can stand out, you can get a leg up on your competition, you can be found online, you can be you can work on brand authority, brand awareness, with video that you do yourself. Now, is there software's out there that you can utilize as well, of course there is. And I am going to talk some about that in the workshop and show you some things because sizing is really important. Depending on the social media platform you're posting to, you don't want your videos to be cut off, just like you don't want pictures cut off, you don't want your videos cut off, you want to make sure that it's sized correctly for the platform you're posting on. There is also resizing options with software doesn't mean you have to start from scratch, there is actually resizing options inside of software to make it a streamlined process. And there's apps you can use on your smartphones, on your tablets, there is desktop applications. software's that, some of which are free, some of which are very low cost. And you can also get more expensive one, whatever is going to work the best for you. The biggest thing is taking action, utilizing video that is key. And the statistics when I had I think I did a speaking engagement about this last year. Those numbers were not that high. Every year, they go up and up. And we can go back and we can pull what Facebook has come out and said what Instagram has said you're even seeing more video on LinkedIn. Everything is headed in the direction of video. That is why I say it's vital. And to have your authority online video is key.
